      Shows

The dates we can confirm so far, from the 1996 tour card, an old flyer, and fan-logged shows on setlist.fm. If you were at one of these, tell us about it.

      The name

Nobody could say it and nobody knew what it meant. That was most of the conversation at every show.

It comes from Acts 19. Seven sons of a priest named Sceva try to cast out a demon using a name they have no real claim to. The demon answers them, beats them, and sends them out of the house naked and wounded.

Both records were produced by Bruce Winter in Santa Barbara.

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? Acts 19:15
